Lovell Animal Hospital provides experienced, personalized care for cats, dogs, and certain pocket pets. Our patient-centric approach drives everything we do, so we strive every day to exceed our client’s expectations with thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate pet care. We treat primarily cats and dogs; however, Dr. Sherri holds a special place in her heart for guinea pigs and rabbits.

Dr. Sherri Mellskog Veterinarian
Dr. Sherri Mellskog received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She also earned a B.S. in Animal Science from the University and a B.A. in Biology and Equestrian Science from Stephens College. She moved to Knoxville in 1993 with her husband, William Thomas, who is also a veterinarian and is on staff at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Together they have two beautiful daughters. Dr. Sherri breeds and raises Trakehner horses. Adding to her family are 3 dogs, 1 cat, and a guinea pig. They all reside on a 44-acre farm. If she has any spare time, she enjoys spending it with her family and her horses.
